On the Tracking page, click a field worker’s name in the Active list to see their day in detail. The map shows their trail, their tasks and their alerts, and a panel opens on the right of the map.
Required permission:
  • View tracking
  • View alert (for the Alert tab)
  • Resolve alert (to resolve an alert)
  • View Chat on Web (for the chat button and the Chat tab)

The user list

Rows in the Active user list
  1. Checkbox: tick field workers to send them one message with Broadcast. See Broadcast.
  2. Name: click to select the field worker. Click again to go back to everyone.
  3. Alert sign: the field worker has an unresolved alert on that day.
  4. Done / total: done tasks out of all the field worker’s tasks on that day, for example 2/5. It is hidden when they have no task.
The chat button at the end of the row opens a conversation with that field worker. A number on it counts the messages you have not read. The checkbox and the chat button appear only with the View Chat on Web permission.

A selected field worker

A selected field worker
  1. Name: the field worker the panel is about. Below it are their role, their teams in this hub and their phone number. The button on the right hides the panel. Show it again with the same button.
  2. Tasks / Alert / Chat: the panel’s tabs. A red dot on Alert means there is an unresolved alert.
  3. Snap to Road / Planned Route: change how the route is drawn. See Map Icons and Routes.
The totals at the top of the map now show this field worker’s figures: their ongoing and done tasks, and the time and distance they travelled. The map shows:
  • their latest location (the user icon),
  • the actual route they travelled, coloured by speed,
  • a blue line to their remaining tasks,
  • a numbered icon for each task, and a numbered ring for each alert.
See Map Icons and Routes for what each one means.

Tasks

The Tasks tab lists the field worker’s tasks of that day in planned order. Each row shows:
  • Number: the task’s place in the list, coloured by status (green done, orange ongoing, grey not assigned).
  • Title: the task title, or the task type’s name if the task has no title.
  • Progress: Task has been completed, Task is near the destination or Task is on the way.
  • Time: when the task was done, or its planned arrival time if it is not done yet.
A warning sign beside a done task means it was finished out of order. Hover over it to see its planned place, for example This task should be completed in the 3 order. If the field worker has no task on that day, the tab says No task for this user on this date.

Alert

The Alert tab lists the alerts raised for this field worker on that day: geofence, idle, route deviation, lateness and panic button alerts.
Alert tab
  1. Show geofences on map: draw your geofences on the map, so you can see the area an alert is about.
  2. Alert row: the alert type (for example Idle: Detected), the place and how long ago it happened. Click a row to highlight its ring on the map. The arrow opens the row to show the message and the details: event, location, GPS, time, and, once resolved, who resolved it and their notes.
Unresolved alerts have a Resolve button. Click it, write optional notes about what was done (up to 500 characters) and confirm. The alert then shows as resolved here and on the Alert page. The numbered rings on the map match the row numbers. Click a ring to see the same details in a card, with its own Resolve button. Choose which alerts are raised in Alert Setting.

Chat

The Chat tab shows your conversation with the field worker, so you can message them without leaving the map. It works the same as the Chat page. To open it straight away, click the chat button on the field worker’s row. On a phone, the conversation opens in a drawer instead.
